Research Assistant Needed – Part-time (12-18 hours/week)

 

Behavioral Tech Research, Inc. is an organization founded by Marsha M Linehan, Ph.D., a professor of psychology at the University of Washington.  Dr. Linehan is also the treatment developer of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, a popular, efficacious for severely disordered individuals with borderline personality disorder.  Behavioral Tech Research, Inc. is committed to the dissemination of evidence-based behavioral therapies.

The ideal candidate will have a background in conducting research with human subjects, be highly motivated, personable, detail-oriented, and graduate-school bound (e.g., seeking opportunities that will help strengthen a graduate school application).  Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Great job for anyone considering graduate study in psychology or related field.

Job Responsibilities:

Providing support in all phases of research including:

  • developing study materials
  • recruiting and running subjects
  • entering and analyzing data
  • administrative tasks related to subject participation

Candidate will have the opportunity to learn about evidence-based practices used to treat multi-disordered clients, the developmental process associated with creating computer-based training programs, as well as an introduction to the grant creation/submission process.  This position offers flexible scheduling and a pay rate of $10/hour.  Forward letter of interest and resume to: mlevy@btechresearch.com.
